I’m Lindisiwe Mlotywa (@siwetheyrun) and I’m a fashion design student. When I walked into the space for the first time I was overwhelmingly inspired by the strong light and monochromatic, simplistic style of the room. The huge windows in the room allowed for beautiful sun rays to channel into the room during the sunset. This really set a mood for the room without needing a crowd. I wanted this mood to reflect in my concept. I used a single piece of furniture, it creates a mood of loneliness in a dark space. I collaborated with a collective called The SYX (@sogaula @yonela_makoba @xola_makoba)for styling. A monochromatic colour palette is what also led this shoot. Last but not least the photographer for the day was Mosako Chalashika (@thelosso). The shoot was really inspiring and successful.
