TEST SHOOT

So we agreed to collaborate with Lisa Winter from Germany

This shoot was a reflection of the current state of South African black artists. As we went about trying to make this shoot come to life we were faced by many obstacles to say the least. From the Jewelry designer who couldnt and refused to pronounce our names right, to the makeup artist who told the photographer, she couldnt do makeup for "bling bling'. Like the only jewelry black womxn can source is"bling bling". To just being unseen in the space.

This shoot was a victory for us because we were to transcend the violence and do our jobs.
